About the Invoice to Shopify CSV

Invoice to Shopify CSV reads a supplier invoice PDF and turns its line items into Shopify imports: new products with cost and retail price, and stock updates for products you already sell.

It finds each item's SKU, name, quantity and unit cost by checking that quantity × price matches the line total, and skips subtotals, tax and shipping lines. You always review the table before downloading.

How to use it

  1. Add a supplier invoice PDF, or paste its lines.
  2. Check and fix the items table.
  3. Set retail pricing (margin, markup or multiplier) and product details.
  4. Optionally add your Shopify inventory export so existing SKUs become stock updates.
  5. Download the CSVs and import them in Shopify.

Example

A 5-item supplier invoice priced at a 50% margin with .99 endings turns an $8.50 tee into $16.99. With an inventory export added, 2 items already in the store became stock updates (5 → 17 on hand) and 3 became new products.

Questions

Does it work with scanned invoices?

Not directly: scans and photos have no text to read. Type or paste the lines into the table instead.

Will it overwrite my stock counts?

Stock updates add the quantity received to your current stock at the location you choose. Shopify also checks the current stock hasn't changed since your export.

Are new products published straight away?

Only if you choose Active. Draft is the default, so you can review them in Shopify first.
