Barcode Generator

Barcodes for products and SKU labels: UPC-A, EAN-13 or Code 128. One per line makes a batch.

Made in your browser. To sell in stores, UPC and EAN numbers must be registered with GS1.

About the Barcode Generator

Barcode Generator makes Code 128 barcodes for SKU labels and UPC-A or EAN-13 barcodes for retail products, one per line, as print-ready PNG and SVG files.

For UPC and EAN, the check digit is added if you leave it off, and checked if you include it.

How to use it

  1. Enter codes, one per line.
  2. Pick Code 128, UPC-A or EAN-13.
  3. Choose whether to print the code under the bars.
  4. Download PNG and SVG files, or all of them as a zip.

Example

TEE-01 and MUG-220 as Code 128 give two labels that scan straight back to those SKUs.

Questions

Which type should I use?

Code 128 for your own labels and SKUs (letters and numbers). UPC-A or EAN-13 for products sold in stores.

Can I make up UPC numbers?

Not for retail. Stores need numbers registered to your company through GS1.

PNG or SVG?

PNG for most label printers and documents; SVG to scale to any size without blur.
