Amazon FBA Fee Calculator works out the two fees on every Amazon sale: the referral fee for your category, and the FBA fulfillment fee for your product's size and weight. It finds the size tier, applies dimensional weight where Amazon does, picks the right price band and adds the 3.5% fuel and logistics surcharge.

A $24.99 item weighing 0.5 lb in a 9 × 6 × 2 in box is large standard. Its dimensional weight (12.4 oz) beats its actual weight, so the fulfillment fee is $4.60 + 3.5% = $4.76. With the 15% referral fee of $3.75, Amazon takes $8.51. At a $6 unit cost, profit is $10.48. The same item in a 0.5 in thin mailer is small standard and saves $1.10 per unit.
Amazon groups items by their packaged size and weight. Small standard is up to 15 × 12 × 0.75 in and 16 oz; large standard up to 18 × 14 × 8 in and 20 lb. Bigger items are bulky and cost more.
For large standard items Amazon bills the greater of the actual weight and length × width × height ÷ 139 (with width and height of at least 2 in). Small standard items are billed on actual weight.
Since 2026, Amazon's fulfillment fees come in three price bands: under $10, $10 to $50, and over $50.
Monthly storage, inbound placement, low-inventory and returns fees depend on your account and timing, so they aren't in this per-unit estimate. Apparel and bulky items use different tables.
