Blacklight is a Shopify theme made by CHRISPSDesign ("we"), the Canadian company that owns Utilwell. This policy explains what the theme does with data on your store.

The theme sends us nothing

Blacklight runs entirely on Shopify. It contains no tracking or analytics, and it does not send any store, shopper or order data to CHRISPSDesign or anyone else.

What stays in the shopper's browser

The shopper's age-confirmation answer is stored in the shopper's own browser and never leaves it. It is not linked to customer accounts.

What Shopify handles

Everything else the theme shows, such as products, carts, customer accounts, B2B prices, newsletter sign-ups and contact forms, is handled by Shopify under your store's own privacy policy and Shopify's privacy policy. When the terms checkbox is on, acceptance is saved on the cart as "Terms accepted: Yes" and carried to the order.

Your store's privacy policy

You remain responsible for your store's privacy policy and for any apps you add, which have their own terms.
