About the Shopify image resizer
Shopify recommends 2048 × 2048 px for square product photos. This resizer fits each photo inside that square and fills the rest with white, so every product in a collection lines up at the same shape.
Turn off "Fill to the exact size with white" to keep each photo's own shape instead.
How to use it
  1. Choose your product photos, as many as you like.
  2. Keep the Shopify preset, or adjust the size.
  3. Download them one by one or as a zip, then upload to the product in Shopify.
Example
A 4032 × 3024 phone photo becomes 2048 × 2048: the photo is scaled to 2048 × 1536 and centered on white.
Questions
Why square?
Shopify themes show product grids at one shape. Photos with mixed shapes get cropped or leave uneven gaps, and square is the most common grid.
JPG or PNG?
JPG for photos keeps files small and fast. PNG for graphics with sharp edges or transparency.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Resizing happens in your browser.
