How this was calculated

About the Amazon image resizer

Amazon turns on zoom for images at least 1000 px on the longest side, and zoom looks noticeably better at 2000 px. This resizer makes each photo 2000 × 2000 px, centered on a pure white background, which is what Amazon requires for the main image.

The white fill is pure white (RGB 255, 255, 255), so the padding meets the main-image rule.

How to use it

  1. Choose your product photos.
  2. Keep the Amazon preset.
  3. Download and upload in Seller Central under Manage images.

Example

A 1500 × 1200 photo is scaled up to 2000 × 1600 and centered on a 2000 × 2000 white square.

Questions

Does the product need to fill the frame?

Amazon asks for the product to fill about 85% of the main image. Crop tightly around the product before resizing for the best result.

Can I use a small photo?

It will be enlarged to meet the size, but it may look soft. Start from the largest original you have.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Resizing happens in your browser.
